This website aims to provide a greater freedom of choice than is offered by many gift list providers. You are not limited to a specific retailer and you are not limited to retailers at all. General requests such as "a nice meal out for 2" can be requested alongside specific items from specific retailers.
Yourgiftlist.co.uk operates a pledge system. Friends/family/guests are able to register and then pledge to buy an item. The quantity of this item is then altered to reflect the pledge received. An accurate public gift list is maintained at all times to ensure that items are not over pledged. The pledger is able to purchase the item however they choose enabling greater freedom for both you and them.


The items below provide more information on the registration for and use of yourgiftlist.
  • Register with Delicious or VisualizeUs (optional)

    Should you wish to take advantage of the bookmarking tool list creation you will need to register for an account with either Delicious or VisualizeUs. This can be done before or after registering with yourgiftlist. Delicious does not bookmark product images whereas VisualizeUs does. So should you wish an image of the product to be displayed use VisualizeUs.
    Further information on how to use the bookmarking tools to add items can be found here.
    You will need to add your bookmark username and the bookmark you are using to your yourgiftlist account details. This can be done when registering with yourgiftlist or by editing your account details after registration.

  • Register with yourgiftlist.co.uk

    Registration is quick and easy with yourgiftlist.co.uk. Simply click here and follow the instructions provided. Once registered you will receive a confirmation email that will include the unique link to your public gift list.

  • Create your gift list either manually or via the bookmarking tool

    Items can be added to your gift list via the "Add Item to List" button or the "Add Bookmarked Item(s)" button.
    The Add Item to List option will allow you to manually enter the details of an item. The minimum requirement is for an item description and quantity.
    The Add Bookmarked Item(s) option will add all the items that you have bookmarked using Delicious or VisualizeUs. You must provide the correct bookmark username and bookmark tool information. This can be done at registration or by editing your account information.

  • Inform friends/family/guests about your gift list

    Once you have created your gift list you are ready to have friends/family/guests start viewing it.
    The unique link that was emailed to you after registration provides the easiest access to your public list. Simply email or give this link to whomever you wish to view your list.
    Alternatively your unique giftlist number (displayed in your account information) can be entered into the "View a gift list" form (at the right of this page).

  • Receive notification of pledges received and edit/add new items

    Once your gift list has been created you are able to edit and monitor it using yourgiftlist. New items can be added and any unwanted items can be removed (as long as they have not already received a pledge). You will be notified by email of any pledges received and can login to your account to review them.
